Health Insurance |
Medical, including vision and
prescription plans, and Dental, choices of traditional or DMO.
Coverage begins on the first of the month following the completion of 90
days of work. Changes in coverage are allowed only during an open
enrollment period or within 31 days following a qualified family status
change. Employees have the option to purchase health care for
immediate family members, including domestic partners. Currently,
there is no monthly premium charged to employees for their coverage.

Life Insurance |
Basic coverage equals one times base
salary. Eligibility is one month following the date of hire.
No cost to the employee.

Long term disability |
Provides coverage if employee is no
longer able to work due to illness or injury. Eligibility is one
year following the date of hire.

Pension |
The Arc/Morris contributes 5% of the
employee's earnings toward his/her pension plan. Eligibility is
one year following the date of hire.

Opportunity to reduce taxes by putting
aside pre-tax dollars for retirement purposes.

Dependent Care |
Opportunity to reduce taxes by putting

Most employees working in programs with
consumers must provide medical clearance. The agency contracts
with a local health care provider to ensure timely, competent medical
services at no cost to the employee.

Hepatitis B inoculation |
All employees are eligible to receive
the Hepatitis B series at no cost.

Training |
The agency provides for in-depth
training sessions for
employees, as deemed necessary for their position. All
time spent in training sessions will be compensated at the
employee's rate of pay.

Holidays |
Full time employees receive nine (9)
paid holidays during
the course of the year.
|
Vacation |
Regular full time and part time (21+
hrs/wk) employees
accrue vacation hours in accordance with an established
schedule. Staff may use accrued vacation time after
completing six (6) months of service.

Personal days |
Regular full time and part time (21+
hrs/wk) are eligible
for paid personal days up to a maximum of five (5) days
annually. Employees must complete three (3) months of
service prior to the utilization of paid personal leave.

Sick time |
Regular full time and part time (21+
hrs/wk) employees are granted paid time off for absences due to personal
accident or illness or that of a child, spouse, parent or domestic
partner following three months of service. The equivalent of ten
(10) work days are given annually. Staff may accrue sick time to a
maximum of twelve (12) weeks.

Birthday day off |
An additional day of paid personal leave
is granted to full
time employees employed by the agency for four
consecutive years.

Mileage reimbursement |
Reimbursement is made to employees if
they use their
personal vehicle in the course of transacting agency business.

Payment for meals and
leisure-related consumer
activities |
The agency will allocate petty cash to
pay for meals and
activities for employees who accompany and participate
with consumers on outings and activities.

A healthy smoke-free environment is
provided for the
benefit of all employees.

Tuition assistance |
Regular full time and part time (21+
hrs/wk) employees
who have completed one year of service are eligible for
educational assistance to help develop their skills and
enhance their performance.

Service to the agency,

the Year.
